Conference: Moving Forward: Gaining Momentum through Collaboration

“The 2010 Northwest Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing Conference promises to be a great opportunity for professional development and networking!

The conference will take place at Portland Community College-Sylvania campus on September 16-17. View the program, apply for a conference scholarship or travel stipend, and register online at: www.nwill.org

The conference theme is “Moving Forward: Gaining Momentum through Collaboration.” This year’s keynote speaker Denise Forro will share with us her perspective on the “The Great Confluence of Resource Sharing Challenges: Managing Demands, Technology, and Operations.” Sessions will discuss: patron-driven acquisitions models, e-books and e-book readers, consortial partnerships, training technologies, and much more! A preconference will also be held on September 15. Atlas Systems’ Stephanie Spires will discuss “ILLiad 8: Tools for Acquisitions and Collection Development.”

Register before September 1 and prices are as follows: $55 for one day or $85 for both days.
