Resource Sharing in Digital Age Conference in Chicago

If you are a librarian involved in resource sharing and interlending in any capacity, ‘Resource Sharing in the Digital Age’ is the conference for you.  Come to the Chicago to hear how libraries around the world are creatively sharing their resources to cope with shrinking library budgets, skyrocketing collection costs, and increasingly restrictive copyright laws. Learn from over 25 international experts about the latest developments in interlibrary loan: new technologies, recent cost studies, sharing digital resources, and strategies for improving transborder interlending. Speakers will describe many cutting-edge projects, from cooperative collection development ventures to shared storage facilities to purchase-on-demand programs. In addition, keynotes will be Resource Sharing in a Cloud Computing Age by Matt Goldner, and Product and Technology Advocate, OCLC Inc. and Radical Collaboration and the Future of the Academic Library by Jim Neal, Vice President for Information Services and University Librarian Columbia University, New York, N.Y.
