Alain St. Pierre, Erica Bruchko and Tim Bryson wrote this report “Emerging Futures of Subject Librarians” and it is placed on the Digital Librarian Initiative @ Emory blog. Collaboration is mentioned in several parts, and there is a really good section concerning collaboration about two-thirds the way through.
Collaboration: A lot of this work could be collaborative, leveraging limited time and energies to accomplish common goals. The DLI model can claim some success in this regard. It requires the careful design and active management of meetings and a group blog website to share research and experience. [Etc., etc., etc.]
