Consortiums, Collaboration, Centralization … Conflict?

The July 1, 2009 issue of Inside Higher Ed includes an article on the pros and cons of higher education institutions working in consortia.  Participants at the annual meeting of the National Association of College and University Business Officers discussed the many benefits on cooperation – costs savings, improved efficiencies, ability for the group to tackle BIG problems, etc.  But this group also, looked at the downside of collaboration as well.  Click HERE to see the entire article.
